Assistant Company Secretary - West End - Up to £60k

Wise May are looking for an experienced and highly organized Assistant Company Secretary to join our client, a fast paced Investment company based in the West End.

Duties to include:

  • Assist the Company Secretary in organizing and preparing board meetings, including agenda development, document distribution, and minute-taking.
  • Maintain and update corporate records, registers, and statutory books in compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely filing of statutory documents and compliance with company law and corporate governance regulations.
  • Support the implementation of corporate governance policies and practices, keeping abreast of regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Assist in the coordination of annual general meetings and other shareholder-related activities.
  • Help manage communication with shareholders, ensuring the timely distribution of reports, notices, and disclosures.
  • Conduct research and provide advice on legal and compliance matters affecting the company's operations.
  • Manage the administration of various corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the company's governance framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Company Secretary or senior management.
