This position requires a Management Accountant who can prepare, develop, and analyse key financial information to aid in management decision making. The successful candidate should also have the ability to ensure financial systems are robust and support the university's financial strategy.

Description

  • Develop and maintain financial systems and processes.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the Finance Director in strategic financial planning.
  • Perform financial modelling, analysis and provide financial advice.
  • Ensure financial controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with non-finance staff.
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ideally be familiar with PS Financials
