Career Development Coach

Hybrid role with travel across the East of England and the surrounding area

£35,000 - £40,000 + Car Allowance + Healthcare + Pension + Holiday

Have you got experience in training/development and looking to make a difference with a growing company where you will be the senior member of development staff.

Are you looking to be the key player in progressing, supporting and developing an exciting group of apprentices throughout the early stages of their careers?

This is a fantastic opportunity to get on board with an exciting company who are well backed and have an extensive number of ongoing projects. They focus on heating, electrical and renewables projects across the domestic and come commercial settings. Most of what they focus on is within the domestic markets due to the ongoing relationships with local authorities and housing associations. Due to the constant growth of the company, there are already a good number of current apprentices and a target to increase that number substantially. They are ultimately looking for a candidate who wants to really get stuck in and grow with the business.

This role will involve being the member of staff dedicated to building an excellent workforce for the future of this business. You will be managing current apprentice journeys and ensuring they are progressing well by undertaking progress reviews with them/their mentors. As well as overseeing current pool of apprentices, you will be assisting with the future growth of new intakes. This will involve attending different types of career fairs and looking for new talent. A large element will be working alongside the operations team to coordinate and plan the development of placements and apprentices over the coming years. As you will be overseeing this growth across the whole business, you are going to be covering offices across the likes of Suffolk, E Midlands and Northamptonshire (however there will be hybrid options).

The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience(gas, electrical, renewables) or have a background in mentoring and coaching. It would be useful to have operational experience or working within an operations team. Being able to deal with sensitive and complex matters will be vital as this will be a key part of this position. If you have any technical experience or background in working with a company who focus in the heating industry (or electrical) then this would be an advantage but not essential. Due to the nature of the role there will need to be a flexibility with travel and a motivation to build relationships across multiple offices.

The role:

Developing and progressing current apprentices

Recruiting and onboarding new apprentices

Tracking employees journeys to aid development

Being the key player in growing new industry entrants

The person:

Experience in mentoring and coaching

Background in learning and development

Flexibility with travel

Keen to help progress apprentices and help them flourish in a growing business
