A medium sized firm operating in the IT space and are pioneers within their sector are currently recruiting for a highly experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner for a 6 month contract.
Based in Nottinghamshire, they are well known for having an excellent company culture. The role will be offered hybrid with 2 or 3 days on site per week preferred.
The role will be offered as a contract for £450 - £550 per day inside IR35 (umbrella). They need someone ASAP so you would need to have no longer that 1 week notice period and be experienced enough to hit the ground running.
Reporting to the FP&A Director, your responsibilities include:
- Responsible for production of forecasts & budgets ensuring alignment with relevant functional owners
- Work with the Sales and marketing teams to analyse trends, impact of marketing & promotional activity
- Support & challenge Product Development teams through the development cycle including production/approval of business cases and on-going monitoring of performance
- Support month-end activities, including review of actuals and provision of variance analysis including commentary
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights to support business requirements
The ideal candidate
- Qualified CCAB accountant
- Exposure to senior leaders in a previous role and experience working in cross functional teams.
- Ability to represent finance with the business and the business with finance
- Strong commercial background
- Demonstrated ability to "get behind the numbers" and understand key drivers within a business
- Experience for a company which holds physical assets would be beneficial
- A high energy, ambitious proactive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to influence at all levels of an organisation
- Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail
