Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Student Recruitment & Events Officer at our Crawley campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £23,497 - £25,678 per annum plus a market supplement of £3,000 per annum.
The Student Recruitment & Events Officer role:
As our Student Recruitment & Events Officer, you will play a pivotal role in organising and executing promotional activities with schools and colleges on behalf of CCG, contributing to meeting annual KPIs related to student recruitment and applications. You will focus on showcasing Post-16 college options for school leavers, particularly those in years 9-12 and adult learners furthering their education.
Key Responsibilities of our Student Recruitment & Events Officer:
- Represent the College within local schools and the community, ensuring activities are targeted and compliant with Provider Access Legislation
- Cultivate strong relationships with local schools to enhance confidence in the Colleges as the preferred educational destination
- Partner with Curriculum areas to offer specialised speakers, workshops and master classes
- Work alongside line manager to implement strategic plan for student recruitment to foster quality relationships with key educational institutions for development, growth and maintenance
- Lead on community engagement plans to establish and nurture connections with vital community groups
- Collaborate with the Marketing team & Curriculum areas to plan and deliver key recruitment events such as Open Events and Taster Days effectively by coordinating logistics and engagement opportunities
- Create and commission engaging campaign resources in collaboration with wider Marketing and Communications team for effective communication with schools and prospective students
- Work with the Sales team to develop commercial offerings tailored to schools' and community needs
- Maintain a comprehensive school and community database using CRM or similar systems to track activities and applications to generate impact reports and provide intel to other teams/departments
- Utilise data to inform recruitment campaigns and identify areas for growth or strategy refinement
- Conduct competition analysis to inform recruitment strategies and targeted initiatives
- As part of a team, provide support in planning and executing key college showcase and celebration events, including STARs Graduation
Our ideal Student Recruitment & Events Officer should have the below skills and experience:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English at grade C/4 or above
- A professional marketing or IAG qualification at level 3 or above (e.g. L3 CIM or IAG) or willingness to undertake a relevant qualification
- Experience running a customer engagement, presentation, or IAG activity (sales and/or marketing) with proven results
- Experience engaging with external stakeholders and partners
- Experience planning and delivering events and campaign activity
- Experience sourcing suppliers and working within budget parameters
- Experience managing complex projects and working groups
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook
