Commercial Gas Engineer

Our client, a national facilities management company, is looking to recruit a self-motivated, tenacious and dedicated field-based Commercial Gas Engineer to join their regional mobile team, required to assist in the efficient delivery of the PPM and reactive maintenance works for their National Blue-Chip Contracts.

Working remotely and reporting to the Divisional Manager, duties will include:

  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules, frequencies and industry best practices
  • Ensure the Client, Customer and Team are 'kept in the loop' through feedback and regular updates
  • Identify any defects found and provide parts list and estimated timescales to complete the defects Participating in the call out rota
  • Ensure Boilers are transported and handled in accordance with current Health & Safety Regulations
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues and customers
  • Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance and plan operational duties, working with the various systems and reporting as requested
  • Involved with appliances such as small-scale plant rooms, centralised heating boilers, gas heaters etc
  • Likely to visit customer premises, (commercial), to fit, service and repair boilers and centralised heating systems that have broken down
  • Assessing, dismantling, repairing or replacing relevant parts
  • Support the field service team and upkeep and maintain the various internal operational processes

As a successful candidate you will have proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer with M&E Engineering Qualification - bias in Combustion and/or Cocn1, Codnco1 together with an ACS Certification and be Gas Safe registered. Qualifications CCP1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A are also essential.

You will also possess confidence working autonomously within planned and preventive maintenance operations, in a setting where quality and compliance are paramount.

Full driving licence (maximum 3 points/no disqualifications) is also essential.
