Learning & Development Manager

  • Location: West London (sites across Multiple European Markets including UK and Germany)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £60,000 per annum with car allowance and annual bonus
  • 1 day working from home plus travel opportunities

I have partnered with a great organisation who are excited to be looking for a highly experienced Learning & Development Manager to create and drive the implementation of best practice learning and development policies, processes, frameworks, and toolkits for our head office and roles across all markets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing highly competent managers and team members to achieve both business and personal development goals.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Design and implement standardised training frameworks for all sites as well as Head Office Teams, ensuring consistency with company standards and behaviours.
  • Develop a range of learning and development solutions aligned with the HR strategy and business priorities.
  • Ensure all learning and development activities are legally compliant and support company policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage the annual training calendar based on identified training needs.
  • Evaluate the impact of learning activities and make necessary adjustments to align with business goals.
  • Enhance the capability of Managers to effectively utilise all training frameworks and modules.
  • Collaborate with HR Leads, Operations teams, and Line Managers to define learning and development needs.
  • Coach Head Office team managers to improve their training, development, and performance management skills.
  • Embed the company culture and values through all learning initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Senior L&D experience across multiple European markets, including the UK and Germany.
  • Deep understanding of multi-site customer-facing businesses in retail, hospitality, or leisure.
  • Hands-on experience with the full training cycle and deploying learning solutions operationally.
  • Success in creating and rolling out training frameworks and toolkits internationally.
  • Excellent understanding of organisational roles and differences.
  • Experience in a matrix organisational structure and working at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of how L&D adds value to the business.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to achieve high performance through international teams.
  • Influential with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills at senior levels.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities.
