Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic history lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing feedback to support their development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, promoting a love for history beyond the classroom.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching history at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
