Three Bridges Recruitment is recruiting for a Newly Qualified Accountant for an Accountancy Practice based in Glasgow City Centre. This is an opportunity to independently manage a diverse client portfolio in a role that blends autonomy with responsibility. You will be preparing statutory accounts & guiding them through the crucial partner review stage, while also playing a key role in mentoring the Accounts Assistants in the team.

Job

The job of NQ Accountant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Prepare statutory & management accounts for review by the Partners
  • Handle basic corporation, personal tax & VAT returns (training will be offered for this if needed)
  • Support & develop the accounts assistants in the team who assist with bookkeeping
  • Assist in client liaison

You

As an NQ Accountant you will ideally be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Skilled in carrying out the duties listed above
  • Skilled in preparing statutory accounts are essential, skills in tax can be taught or developed
  • Skilled in cloud-based accounting software, like Xero
  • Qualifications are not essential, but being a part or fully qualified Accountant would be advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent at prioritising to meet deadlines
  • Good communicator with superb interpersonal skills
