Butter Rose are proud to share that we are working exclusively (again) with a brilliant engineering / manufacturing organisation in North Hampshire. They lead the way in the advanced tech they make which is utilised across key business sectors to include: Defence, Energy, R&D, and Scientific.

I'm keen to speak with highly commercial senior finance professionals bosting demonstrable experience across process / systems improvement, group consolidations, finance visualisation, and business partnering.

Reporting the FD, you take up the role of No2 in Finance in this medium sized finance department, stepping in for the FD when needed. You core accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Production of accurate and timely management information, ensuring key monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles are achieved.
  • Visualising finance through use of Power BI and other tools and presenting to the group's leadership team and key stakeholders in the wider business.
  • Produce analysis giving commercial insight supporting effective decision making.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple cost centres and set Opex and Capex in collaboration with the MD and FD.
  • Partnering with Group Accounting and other key finance members to ensure the business is aligned across planning and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to create business cases for new initiatives and strategies.
  • Work with the wider finance team and business to produce, short, medium and long term operational cashflow forecasting.

To be in contention for this high profile and highly rewarding career move you need to meet the following prerequisites:

  • Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA equivalent with 5+ years PQE.
  • In depth knowledge of financial and business processes, systems and activities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Company consolidation techniques.
  • Accounting standards and financial statutory requirements.
  • Experience of identifying and implementing process improvements Self-motivated and adaptable to changing business priorities.
  • Strong PC modelling skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to develop good working relationships.
