Bank Reconciliation Analyst

Our client is seeking a Bank Reconciliation Analyst to join their team. The goal is to identify errors and detect any unusual or irregular payments in transaction records, ensuring the business has a precise and up-to-date understanding of its bank balances at all times. This approach minimises risk and enhances efficiency by enforcing proper controls and procedures.

This role works 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and offers 2 days working from home.

This leading real estate business manages a diverse portfolio of assets, from unique residential properties to iconic retail spaces you will be working across many impressive portfolios and properties.

Duties:

  • Perform daily reconciliations of assigned company bank accounts.
  • Reconcile inter-account fund movements daily.
  • Investigate and document unmatched items, collaborating with Finance colleagues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain and refine rule sets for automated reconciliations within the reconciliation tool.
  • Prepare manual reconciliations for bank accounts outside the reconciliation system, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile suspense accounts, coordinating with global payment teams to resolve outstanding items.
  • Monitor Treasury and client-segregated bookings, addressing discrepancies with Business Operations and Client Asset Management promptly.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
  • Keep process documentation up to date and ensure compliance with defined policies and procedures.

Person specification:

  • Great experience in service charge bank reconciliation.
  • Advanced Excel user.
  • Detail-oriented and energetic.
  • Be ambitious and committed to personal and professional growth.
  • Think creatively and consistently go above and beyond your daily responsibilities.
  • Have essential experience in real estate.
