At Kirklees College we are always looking for new talent, and welcome applications from all sectors.

Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you'll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers, engineers, health workers and countless others.

We're already a successful college, but we're continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story!

We are looking to recruit an Exam Access Assessor to start in September 2024. You would be joining a GOOD college and helping us continue to support our many students and be part of the journey to Outstanding.

In the role of EAA Assessor you'll predominantly be based at Waterfront but will be supporting our students across all campuses. Your focus will be on assessing students for EAA, completing the Form 8 accurately, supporting staff to complete form 9's in a timely manner to meet external and internal deadlines. You will be working collaboratively with students, families, school, colleagues and external agencies.

Your key responsibilities will be completing assessments in a timely manner, accurately record outcomes of the assessment in line with JCQ regulations and liaising with SEND, Exam and curriculum teams.

You must have a relevant certificate in Psychometric testing (CPT3A) or a level 7 Dyslexia/SpLD in line with current JCQ regulations and be experienced in undertaking EAA assessments. It's important that you understand different SEND needs and are able to demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in the role.

In line with college policies we are able to offer this role with hybrid working.

Due to the nature of our work, it's essential you're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We believe learning is not just for our students: it's an important part of working here too. Staff development opportunities include a mentoring scheme, financial contributions for external qualifications and skills development for current and aspiring managers. You'll also have access to a range of staff benefits including an employee assistance programme, retail and leisure discounts and reduced Metro travel.

We want people who believe in the value of education, and who can contribute to our culture of supporting and challenging one another.

Term time only staff who start mid year will have their initial salary payments calculated based on actual weeks worked and the number of pay dates between the beginning of employment and the end of the academic year.
