Business Change Lead

We are delighted to be working with Counter Terrorism Policing to seek a Business Change Lead, to join their Headquarters (CTPHQ). This role is crucial for leading and implementing change management strategies to support the CT Network in adapting to and embedding new ways of working. The ideal candidate will be a part of the CTPHQ Change Pillar, ensuring that change activities deliver the required benefits and align with our strategic objectives.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Define and implement effective Change Management approaches to enable adoption of new processes and realise benefits.
  • Work closely with Project/Programme Managers, Business Design, and subject matter experts to support change initiatives.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders and key enablers such as HR and Communications to ensure a holistic approach to change.
  • Provide professional leadership of the Regional Change Network and manage a team of Business Change Managers.
  • Support the Head of Business Change in creating a Centre of Excellence for Change Management.
  • Develop and manage business change toolkits and guidance to ensure consistent delivery of change across the CT Policing Executive and the national CT policing network.
  • Quality assure project and programme business change strategies and plans.
  • Provide management information on the impact of change to the CT Policing Executive and governance boards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Change Management principles.
  • Experience in providing consultancy on business change to influence decision-making and improve performance.
  • Facilitation skills with the ability to build consensus among senior leadership teams.
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines in a pressured environment.
  • Strong team management and line management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of programme and project management approaches such as MSP, PRINCE2, and Agile.
  • Experience leading a team of Change Managers.

Desirable Experience:

  • Understanding of CT Policing and its relationships to Government, security and intelligence agencies.
  • Knowledge of benefits identification, tracking, and realisation processes within a large project/programme/portfolio environment.
  • Experience in government, a security agency, or policing.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Prosci Change Practitioner or AMPG Change Management- Practitioner (or willingness to complete within the first 6-12 months if not already held).
  • Desirable: Managing Successful Programmes: Practitioner, Certificate in Business Analysis: Foundation, APMG Agile Change Agent.
