Audit Manager
Our client, a top 30 audit and advisory firm, is looking for an audit manager to join their friendly and sociable team. The team enjoys quiz nights and monthly office drinks, and the recently refurbished offices offer a relaxed dress code. The firm caters to a diverse clientele, including SMEs, large corporates, Not for Profit organisations, and high-net-worth individuals. Their clients span various sectors, such as restaurants and hospitality, property, media, technology, entertainment, and not-for-profit organisations like charities, trade unions, and higher education establishments. The team is highly collaborative and is looking for a like-minded individual to join them. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of corporate clients across various industries, ensuring client relationships and expectations are effectively managed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee audit, accounts, and corporation tax work.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and FRS102.
- Supervise junior staff, assist with technical queries, and conduct periodic appraisals.
- Manage billing and perform some staff-related administration duties.
- Provide ad hoc business consultancy and assist in generating new business.
- Handle other ad hoc duties as required by the role.
Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualified experience in a professional services environment.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven audit experience with a diverse range of clients.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102, and IFRS.
- Experience in managing audits.
- Proficient technical ability.
- Awareness of corporate tax, personal tax, and indirect tax.
