Shipping Administrator

We are pleased to be recruiting for a leading distributor based in Kings Langley who are looking for a Shipping Administrator to join their warm and welcoming team on a full time, permanent basis.

Whether you are an experienced Stock Controller or Supply Chain Analyst with shipping and logistics focused experience then this could be the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic with the ability to fully understand stock and sales patterns.

This is a Monday to Friday position, working hours are from 9am to 5pm. The salary for this role is paying up to £30,000 depending on candidate experience. The position offers the excellent opportunity of hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 from home. Duties to include:

  • Processing customer orders.
  • Schedule and arrange shipments with logistics providers and carriers.
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery times.
  • Track shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, lost shipments, or damaged goods.
  • Liaise with sales managers, agents, and warehouses worldwide.
  • Work with carriers and logistics providers to resolve claims and discrepancies.
  • Manage stock levels, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Build strong relationships with current and new providers.
  • Oversee and record the inbound/outbound movement of stock from suppliers.
  • Check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure that there is sufficient supply to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain stock levels and systems, ensuring accurate delivery processes, returns, transfers and damaged goods are being managed to company guidelines.

Candidate requirements:

  • Inventory/stock control experience.
  • Computer literate and competent to use Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and databases.
  • An ability to multitask while still achieving accurate results to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Customer focussed, and always able to provide superb service.
