Your daily responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN needs.
- Behaviour management – supporting students with challenging behaviour
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Help create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Work alongside the teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for students.
- Provide support and guidance to students, help them to overcome challenges
What the school expects from you:
- Able to commute to Bury daily
- Previous experience working with adults or young people with SEND needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Great time keeping and hardworking nature
- Desire to work in mainstream secondary schools
- Passion and drive to help impact the lives of the children around you
- Youth Work or Support Work qualifications are desirable
- Previous experience working with vulnerable children or young people for 3 months+
