A review of organisational structures has recently been completed with a focus on prioritising the delivery of high quality, customer focused services, which will deliver for the Borough both now and into the future.
In order to pursue service excellence, the Council is seeking to recruit an experienced manager who will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Estates and Asset Management Department, advancing an approach which maximises the opportunity for a wide portfolio and adds value across the Council and with key external partners.
The Head of Estates & Asset Management will oversee all the Council's estates and assets, currently 250 buildings and 3000 acres of land, responsible for building maintenance, facilities management and corporate insurance. The roleholder will deliver the Council's strategic asset management strategy and lead on office optimisation, the efficiency agenda and maximising opportunities for investment and regeneration, working across internal and external stakeholders.
The roleholder also lead the delivery the Council's capital programme, currently 85 diverse projects from playparks to leisure and community centres and will work with partners in the Mid South West Growth Deal to deliver on key projects.
