Sales Ledger Clerk Lanarkshire Salary up to £28k (DOE)

Lusona Consultancy have a new opportunity to join our manufacturing client based in Lanarkshire for the role of 'Sales Ledger Clerk'. This position is fully office based. Reporting to the Senior Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the sales ledger processes, monitoring transactions and completing tasks within the necessary guidelines.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining daily cash income records and daily bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing daily bank lodgements
  • Daily allocations of cash receipts to debtor's ledger
  • Processing credit card receipts
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to chase up queries and allocations.
  • Supporting month end and year end close processes by reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports and assisting with audits.
  • Completing ad hoc duties as guided by other members of the team.

Applicants will ideally have transactional finance experience within a similar type of office environment role, having used financial accounting software sage or equivalent. Likewise, it is useful for applicants to have experience with payroll processing and software such as Sage 50 or QuickBooks. However, this role may also be suitable for applicants with a willingness to learn and are at the early stages of their finance career, who possess strong numerical, as well as verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
