About the Role

We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic individual to accurately and effectively input, submit data returns to the Education & Skills Funding Agency- providing Curriculum Teams with key monitoring reports so that they have the necessary intelligence to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. This role will allow you to assist and support the provision of effective and efficient business support whilst developing your experience, personal skills, and competencies.
A typical day
- Help create and maintain a system to evaluate the performance of the service, using both qualitative and quantitative indicators.
- Manage data entry and document organisation with input from team and/or supervisor.
- Proactively identify and fix data quality issues in the management information system, working with colleagues to address errors.
- Provide performance data to both internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with the MIS & Data Officer when needed.
- Offer advice on ESFA funding guidance, compliance changes, and business IT systems usage.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders on activities, process changes, deadlines, and important information.
- Assist in developing, testing, and implementing new features in core systems.
- Find ways to improve processes, systems, and reporting to enhance the quality of student data.
- Handle customer data with care and in compliance with data protection laws.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Follow all Council decisions, policies, and statutory requirements, including the Equality Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, and Data Protection Act.
You must have
- GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A*) or equivalent
Skills Needed
- Have some understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Interest and passion for personal and professional growth/ development.
- Able to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
- Good ability to take initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills, including planning and record keeping to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written verbal communication, including report writing and the presentation of data.
- A keen interest in data.
