Stockton (TS18) - Hybrid working once fully trained (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)

Initial 12 month contract - highly likely to extend and be rolling for the right person!

37 hours a week, office hours Mon - Fri

Do you have supply chain experience within a Manufacturing Company? Have you organised and coordinated the arrival of Materials to site? Are you hoping to find a new exciting challenge, within a fast-moving environment where every day is different?

We're looking for a Material Planner to join ourglobally renowned client's Supply Chain Team in Stockton. This is an excellent opportunity with a Fortune 100 company, initially on a 12 month contract, which is highly likely to extend for the right person! If you have previous material planning experience, a good understanding of Excel, and are an excellent communicator who is keen to hit the ground running, this could be the opportunity you're looking for...

What will the Material Planner do?

  • Ensure material is shipped & received on time, in the correct quantity - resolve any issues as required
  • Validate supplier schedules meet the facilities needs, work with suppliers ensuring materials available
  • Initiate, coordinate, and participate in activities to ensure optimum inventory levels
  • Be involved with, as necessary, the scheduling and control of onward ship material
  • Coordinating and managing returnable stillages
  • Weekly reporting on key performance indicators
  • Supporting supply chain manager with master scheduling duties where required
  • Coordinate and managing engineering changes

What skills and experience will the Material Planner need?

  • Previous demonstrable Material Planning experience, within a Manufacturing Company
  • Supplier Management Experience and knowledge of MRP systems - SAP/Glovia highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent communicator
  • Competent PC user - excellent Microsoft skills. Being able to create Pivot tables and v lookups in Excel is desirable. Must be comfortable with using and learning different programs.
  • A self-motivated team player, with excellent attention to detail, who works from own initiative
