We are recruiting on behalf of a manufacturer in Rainham, Essex who are looking to hire an experienced toolmaker on a part time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Safely design & manufacture tooling, jigs and fixtures as requested.
- Undertake or arrange maintenance on plant, production tooling, jigs and fixtures as required or requested and develop preventative maintenance strategies.
- Manufacture prototype and special parts as requested.
- Recognise and report opportunities for tooling to assist/improve the manufacturing process.
Skills Required:
- Ability to read & interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of standard toolroom equipment including lathes, presses, grinders (surface, cylindrical, cutter, bench), milling machines, drills, welding, etc.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Good hand tool skills.
