Your new school
A Year 6 HLTA is required for a school based in Hackney. The school creates a happy and fun environment for its pupils where all their achievements are celebrated. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was awarded an "Outstanding" rate, with the report stating that "There are excellent role models for high quality teaching right across the school."
Your duties as a Year 6 HLTA
You will be working as part of a small Year 6 team, running intervention groups for a range of topics and ability levels, as well as some PPA cover. Your other duties will include:
- Recording and reporting the pupil's progress to the teacher.
- Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
- Contribute to providing high quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
- Respond to the varying and changing needs of the school and adapt to any task presented to achieve the smooth running of the school.
- Provide a safe learning environment for the children.
What you will need for this Year 6 HLTA job
- HLTA qualification- or equivalent
- At least 6 months experience within a primary classroom
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- DBS registered to the Update Service- or be willing to complete a new DBS application through Hays
