Registered Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage services, including staff supervision, care planning, safeguarding, communications, and quality compliance.
- Implement and evaluate statutory and organisational policies, ensuring outstanding leadership and support for children and staff.
- Complete required reports on time and promote a culture of equality and diversity.
- Maintain strong partnerships with multi-agency professionals.
- Embed the home's ethos, involving children in daily operations.
- Ensure services meet diverse needs in line with legislation and best practices.
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and service governance.
- Monitor outcomes and progress for all children.
- Supervise staff and support their development through training.
- Manage staff structures, rotas, and HR issues.
- Foster a positive working environment and team dynamics.
- Conduct quality monitoring and health and safety assessments.
- Implement risk assessments and manage complaints.
- Ensure compliance with Children's Home regulations and promote continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, child protection, and the needs of looked-after children.
- Skills in care planning, risk assessment, and meeting children's emotional and psychological needs.
- Lead and inspire staff, manage stress, and perform administrative tasks effectively.
- Prioritise workload to maintain quality care and prevent placement breakdowns.
- Promote and uphold diversity, addressing discrimination and supporting rights.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children's Residential Care or equivalent.
- Experience as a deputy or registered manager in a residential setting.
Salary:
- £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
