About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students in our isolation unit, providing guidance and support to help them overcome behavioural challenges. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and productive school environment through regular on-call duties, which include monitoring the campus and assisting students as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students in the isolation unit, helping them to manage their behaviour and focus on learning
- Monitor the campus and respond to on-call duties, ensuring students are safe and supported
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop strategies for student success
- Help to reinforce school policies and encourage positive behaviours
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging behaviour effectively
- A proactive approach to maintaining a safe and supportive school environment
