Hampton College is an established, successful, all-through school, which formed its own multi-academy trust (Hampton Academies Trust - HAT) in 2014. The Trust is also the education provider for the neighbouring secondary school, Hampton Gardens School and Hampton Lakes Primary School, which opened in September 2019. In 2020, Dogsthorpe Infant School joined our trust. HAT schools have very close links and some shared staff.

Hampton College currently serves the community of Hampton, on the southern outskirts of the city of Peterborough and has good links to Cambridge and Stamford. Hampton Gardens School serves the neighbouring Cambridgeshire village of Yaxley, as well new housing being added to the Hampton East development, where Hampton Lakes Primary School is located.

TEACHING ASSISTANT (LEVEL 3)

We are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support students in the Secondary Phase of the College on a permanent basis**.** Please note that for this position, you will need to have robust previous experience working as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant.

Your main role will be to support the teaching staff and to work with other support staff to enhance the development and education of students. You will assist with the induction, assessment, intervention and support of all students. You will provide input into the planning and evaluation of learning activities for individuals and groups of students. As well as this, you will monitor individual's progress, achievements, development and report these to the teaching staff. Your role will include supporting the general management of the department team.

The successful candidate will also be specifically responsible for Intervention leadership and co-ordination, duties include: -

  • Lead the implementation of targeted interventions, ensuring alignment with student needs and their EHCP.
  • Coordinate intervention schedules, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo and teaching staff to design and adapt interventions based on student progress.
  • Monitor intervention effectiveness, collecting and analysing data to inform decision-making.
  • Train and mentor other teaching assistants on intervention best practices.

Salary:

Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

8.15am - 3.30pm_(with a 45-minute lunch break)_

32.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday), term-time only

Full-time salary (52 weeks) From: £26,421 to £29,777 per annum

Term-time salary (32.5 hrs per wk/term time only) From: £19,364 to £21,824 per annum
