Senior Marketing Manager

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a Senior Marketing Manager to join a large well known retail site in the East Midlands. You will be working some of the best retail and leisure brands and lead the delivery of the marketing strategy by delivering compelling marketing campaigns that drive footfall, frequency of visit and dwell-time, as well as retailer sales and market share for the destination. The role has a particular focus on the customer and the use of insights to inform marketing activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the production of the annual marketing plan and strategy via insights and evidence-based content and the tactical delivery of this plan working with chosen suppliers
  • Understanding target audience segments and using suitable marketing tactics to reach them
  • Creating ‘campaign' reports measuring effectiveness and highlighting lessons learnt to carry forward to future delivery
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure best value//on time/ quality delivery
  • Providing suitable B2B content to inform retail businesses of activity undertaken on their behalf
  • Delivery of activations and campaigns whilst staying within pre-agreed budgets
  • Oversight and feeding back on all of the key site content plans (social media, website, email)
  • Taking the lead on ideation sessions, providing key insights, data, trends, best practices and supporting the marketing executive with practical content examples they can develop and utilise within their plans.
  • Ensuring a smooth roll out of all digital content and overseeing the designing, building and delivering of social media tactics
  • Copywriting, creation of and sending e-campaigns to multiple databases, making sure they all are optimised to ensure high open rates

About You

You will be an exceptional leader, who has instant credibility and gravitas at a senior level, evidenced by a history of empowerment, communication, mentoring and motivation of staff. You will be a natural people manager, able to inspire, motivate and communicate effectively.

As a Senior Marketing professional, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the best-in-class customer service, both B2C and B2B and be able to adapt style and approach depending on the audience. You will have an outstanding commercial and financial awareness with strong financial management skills and the ability to innovate and drive change when required.

Experience of working on a retail and leisure development and engaging with stakeholders would be highly advantageous.
