Payroll Manager
- Job Type: Interim (2/3 months)
- Hours: 37.5 hours, hybrid working 3 days in the office & 2 from home.
- Location: Tadworth, Surrey
- Hourly rate: £25.64- £33.33 per hour PAYE or £32.23- £42.08 per hour via an umbrella company.
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager for an interim period of 2 to 3 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of multiple payrolls, maintaining statutory legislation and company procedures, and delivering a customer-focused service.
Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee the payment of employee wages accurately and on time.
- Utilise Microsoft Dynamics Business Central for payroll processing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with various departments and staff.
- Liaise with software suppliers for payroll and time & attendance systems.
- Manage and develop the payroll team, including performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and year-end obligations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve payroll procedures.
- Keep the payroll team informed of changes in statutory legislation or company procedures.
- Handle all aspects of payroll processing from start to finish.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven payroll experience and strong management skills.
- Payroll qualification from CIPP, Payroll Alliance, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to manage, prioritise, delegate, and organise effectively.
