Russell Taylor group has a brand-new opportunity for a scientific minded individual to join a rapidly growing CRO in the Liverpool area. Due to a growth in global demand, our client is now looking to grow their commercial function by hiring a Business Development Execuitve to join their team.
The Role
- Identifying potential opportunities for business growth and development within the microbiology, antimicrobial, biomaterials, industries.
- Developing strategical plans to increase sales and improve global sales plans.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Negotiating research and testing contracts.
- Compile and distribute financial and statistical information.
- Involvement with promoting the organisation including social media activities.
- Leveraging industry knowledge to develop ideas and solutions for customers.
- Attending exhibitions and conferences where necessary
- Meeting set KPI targets
- Contributing to writing grant funding opportunities
The Person
- Must come from a scientific background with a focus on one of the following -cosmetics, disinfectants, medical devices, FMCG, Biotech, etc.
- Must have a good understanding of microbiology, antimicrobials, biofilms, biomaterials, etc.
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, they will be confident when promoting the use of our clients' products and services at a commercial level.
- Will have previous experience working in a sales environment, from a scientific perspective.
- Will have a proven track record of driving B2B sales.
- Must be able to grow large customer accounts.
