Manchester Staff is currently looking for a new Business Development Manager for a growing client based in Preston, Manchester. The successful Business Development Manager will join a flourishing company within the FMCG industry with fantastic progression and development opportunities.

Job Role: The successful candidate will have experience within a sales or business development role. Using your networking and communication skills you will manage our client's database of consumers and grow our client's network. Your role will be based in the office. Their team is made up of experienced individuals who can offer training and development support. The company has a great working culture where employees are valued and recognised for their achievements.

Key tasks:

  • Generate sales among client and prospect accounts, including upselling and cross-selling across our portfolio.
  • Operate as the main point of contact assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships accounts.
  • Communicate client needs and demands to Anglo Eastern Trading's management team.
  • Forecast and track client spend projection and revenue generated against targets.
  • Collection and processing of sales orders generated from our own online website and those of our customers who use online platforms.
  • Taking orders placed by telephone and processing these.
  • Processing any other orders received.
  • Input of orders received onto Sage 50 accounting system.
  • Produce Picking Lists and Delivery Notes from Sage 50.
  • Liaising with warehouse staff to ensure orders are despatched in a timely fashion.
  • Updating website with new products and prices.
  • Updating company website through website hosts.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with General Manager and Sales team to reach prospective clients.
  • Service multiple accounts concurrently and ensure clients / accounts receive requested products and services in a timely fashion.
  • Promote the company at key shows.
  • Keep records of account correspondence and future action points using company CRM system and keeping the CRM system up to date

Skills/Experience Required:

Essential

  • Phone experience is essential.
  • Strong and confident communicator both over the phone and face to face.
  • Driven & Self Motivated.

Desirable

  • 2-3 Years within a Sales or Business Development role preferred.
  • Equipment or product selling experience preferred.
  • Good IT Skills with Microsoft Office inc. Excel.
