Assembler who has the ability to use various hand and power tools, strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination is required for the Wood Shop of a well-established Design and Manufacturing Company based in Isleworth, Hounslow, Middlesex.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

Previous experience in a production or assembly role and the ability to read and understand technical drawings is preferred. Although this is not essential as full training will be provided.

SALARY: £14.05 per hour + Benefits (weekly pay)

LOCATION: Isleworth, Hounslow, Middlesex (TW7) - 100% site based

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 7.30am - 1.00pm

DUTIES

As an Assembler your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Product Assembly: Assemble parts and products accurately according to work instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings. Assemble wood-based products and components in line with company specifications, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
  • Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble products efficiently and safely. Carry out routine maintenance of wood shop tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and in good working condition
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect components and finished products for defects, and ensure all items meet company quality standards and report issues to the production supervisor, before moving them to the next stage of production
  • Materials Handling: Collect and prepare the necessary materials, components, and equipment for assembly
  • Compliance: Follow company procedures and safety protocols at all times to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation, including production records and quality checklists
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the production team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly assembly targets. ensuring efficient and timely completion of orders
  • Maintenance Support: Perform routine checks and maintenance on tools and report any faults or breakdowns

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: Previous experience in a production or assembly role is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions
  • Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to use various hand and power tools safely and accurately
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure all products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry out tasks involving lifting, bending, and reaching
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues with components or assembly processes and raise them with the supervisor for resolution
  • Teamwork and Communication: Good communication skills and a positive approach to working with colleagues in a team environment
  • Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing production requirements
