Posted by PRATAP PARTNERSHIP LTD.

If you have great Sales order processing skills and love talking to business customers in your current role - this role could be a great step up for you. We're working with our client based in Thorne to recruit a motivated and ambitious Sales Administrator who will also cover Internal Sales for this growing business.

These are the main responsibilities of this varied role:

  • Processing sales orders received over the phone and via email from existing customers, whose accounts you will be expected to develop via building effective relationships, up-selling, and cross-selling
  • Arranging deliveries with the warehouse team and communicating these back to the customer, keeping them updated at all times
  • Raising purchase orders to ensure a good level of stock holding to fulfill orders
  • Managing key accounts and ensuring these accounts grow through excellent customer service and relationship building to maximise sales opportunities
  • Seeking out new sales strategies that may help the company to meet their targets
  • Meeting with customers face to face to enhance relationships and discuss products
  • Working closely with Field Sales to ensure support in the office for them, reporting on their sales and customer feedback
  • Resolving any disputes, queries, and similar, using your string influencing and communication skills
  • Preparing sales reports for management, keeping a constant record of customer activity and pipeline

To be successful in your application we will need to see evidence of previous experience in:

  • Sales - whether this is account management of key clients, outbound sales, or up/cross-selling; ideally this will be business-to-business
  • Sales administration - processing orders, dealing with order discrepancies, arranging deliveries, ensuring stock and advising of alternatives for out of stock/late delivery items
  • Delivering the highest level of customer care
  • Confidence and good communication skills - a genuine interest in people, and building effective working relationships

This is an on-site role based in Thorne with parking. Visits to customers will be required so we will need a driver with transport and a clean license.

You will join a small, friendly team, working collaboratively with colleagues. Company pension, 28 days holiday and laptop, mobile phone for business use are included.
