The Communications Manager is a pivotal role in driving the not-for-profit organisation's messaging and brand forward. This role requires a creative and strategic individual who is capable of managing the marketing and agency department and effectively communicating the company's mission and goals.

The organisation is a well-established not-for-profit entity with more than 500 staff members. It operates on a national level with a strong emphasis on improving community well-being and delivering impactful services. Based in Manchester, it has a significant presence across the UK.

Description

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that align with the company's goals and mission.
  • Lead and manage the marketing and agency department.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team across both organisations to advise on, and deliver, all areas of communication and engagement.
  • Oversee the production of all promotional materials and marketing campaigns.
  • Stay informed of best practices and emerging trends in communications, advocacy, and public affairs
  • Communicate and engage with stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate with the media, public relations and events coordinators to ensure coverage on local and national levels.
  • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of communications strategies.
  • Uphold the values and mission of the not-for-profit organisation at all times.

Profile

A successful Communications Manager should have:

  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a marketing or communications department.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with design software (Photoshop, InDesign).

Job Offer
