Purpose of the Estimator role:
To deliver complete and accurate bid submissions on time to Project Sales Managers and to identify technical/product/commercial risk and escalating for mitigation. To communicate technical inputs in the bid to customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Review Tender Enquiries - review and understand all client requirements and tender return dates for each assigned tender enquiry.
- Compile Tender Returns - Accurately compile and submit tender returns, including all required pricing and information
- Monitor Progress - track and monitor the progress of all designated tasks, ensuring timely completion
- Obtain Quotes for Predicted Requirements
- Collate Detailed Price Lists
- Prepare Kitchen Design Layouts
- Compile Value Engineering Options
- Assist Specialised Projects Bids Lead
Requirements for the role:
- Effective communication skills with the ability to Influence key stakeholders.
- Effective in forming and maintaining relationships in pressured circumstances.
- Analytical with a keen eye to detail.
- Demonstrable methodical approach.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
- Tenacity, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to use own initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Excel, Word and AutoCAD experience required.
- Hold or willingness to obtain a CSCS card.
- Prior experience within the Construction industry, ideally KBB specific is desirable but not essential.
