Our client is looking for an experienced administrator with ideally import / export knowledge to join an established team. This role is initially a 6 month FTC with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The role

  • Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients.
  • Manage the Middle Eastern Exports from UK factory, checking instructions from HQ.
  • Take requests and queries from the customs flow inbound and outbound and resolve them effectively and

efficiently within agreed response times.

  • Ensure stock transfers between WHs arrive when planned and needed.
  • Support the commercial result with late night month end invoicing.
  • Manage the inbound deliveries into the local warehouse in the Slot Management tool (SMT), liaising with

suppliers and the 3PL provider to insure smooth changeovers.

  • Liaise with 3rd parties, hauliers, HQ, warehouse operators.
  • Cover for Export colleagues for the Far Eastern markets when needed.
  • Raise purchase orders for certain suppliers.
  • Take ownership of the reverse logistics procedures managing collections/refusals/delivery discrepancies and

investigating with the relevant parties to ensure stock reconciliation and closing off the process by issuing

relevant documents to the end customer.

  • POD management with all 3PL's
  • Overseeing the implementation of the EPOD.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Economics, Logistics or Engineering.
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding / logistics would be advantageous.
  • SAP G20 skills would be advantageous.
  • Good verbal and written communication, to provide a professional image to customers and suppliers.
  • Comfortable in an international environment.
  • IT literate with excellent excel skills.
  • The capacity to work in a high-pressure environment whilst remaining calm when under pressure.
  • The ability to instruct a global network of agents, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers.
  • The skill to prioritise a large number of tasks to ensure accuracy, and deliver results with great attention to

detail and a high sense of urgency.

  • A positive attitude and good problem-solving skills and to apply lessons learned.
  • The drive to succeed and want to make a contribution to the business.
