Import/Export Logistics Support

Our client is looking for an experienced administrator with ideally import / export knowledge to join an established team. This role is initially a 6 month FTC with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The role
- Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients.
- Manage the Middle Eastern Exports from UK factory, checking instructions from HQ.
- Take requests and queries from the customs flow inbound and outbound and resolve them effectively and
efficiently within agreed response times.
- Ensure stock transfers between WHs arrive when planned and needed.
- Support the commercial result with late night month end invoicing.
- Manage the inbound deliveries into the local warehouse in the Slot Management tool (SMT), liaising with
suppliers and the 3PL provider to insure smooth changeovers.
- Liaise with 3rd parties, hauliers, HQ, warehouse operators.
- Cover for Export colleagues for the Far Eastern markets when needed.
- Raise purchase orders for certain suppliers.
- Take ownership of the reverse logistics procedures managing collections/refusals/delivery discrepancies and
investigating with the relevant parties to ensure stock reconciliation and closing off the process by issuing
relevant documents to the end customer.
- POD management with all 3PL's
- Overseeing the implementation of the EPOD.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Economics, Logistics or Engineering.
- Previous experience in freight forwarding / logistics would be advantageous.
- SAP G20 skills would be advantageous.
- Good verbal and written communication, to provide a professional image to customers and suppliers.
- Comfortable in an international environment.
- IT literate with excellent excel skills.
- The capacity to work in a high-pressure environment whilst remaining calm when under pressure.
- The ability to instruct a global network of agents, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers.
- The skill to prioritise a large number of tasks to ensure accuracy, and deliver results with great attention to
detail and a high sense of urgency.
- A positive attitude and good problem-solving skills and to apply lessons learned.
- The drive to succeed and want to make a contribution to the business.
