A well-established architectural practice with a rich history of delivering high-quality design and innovative solutions across a diverse range of sectors is seeking an Associate Architect for its Manchester office. The company prides itself on having a sustainable design ethos, a collaborative approach and always providing high-quality customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including healthcare, education, residential, and commercial developments.

The successful Associate Architect will play a pivotal role in leading and managing projects from inception to completion. This individual will be responsible for driving design excellence, managing client relationships, and mentoring team members.

Skills, Responsibilities and Experience for the role of Associate Architect:

  • Membership of ARB and RIBA (or equivalent).
  • Qualified Architect with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Lead and manage architectural projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop creative and innovative design solutions that align with sustainable design principles.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present design proposals, feasibility studies, and detailed drawings.
  • Oversee project documentation, ensuring compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
  • Mentor and support junior architects and architectural assistants.
  • Foster strong client relationships, ensuring their needs and visions are effectively translated into the built environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects across various sectors.
  • Strong design and technical skills, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
  • Passionate about sustainability and innovative design solutions.
