Marketing Officer

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Marketing Officer for an initial 4 month contract, with potential to extend, on an annual salary equivalent rate of £30,229 - £37,664 per annum. This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a Marketing Officer to support the Marketing Services Team in the design, development and co-ordination of a range of marketing projects and contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of marketing activity including:
  • Supporting the Marketing team in rolling-out of complex and high impact public health marketing and communications campaigns to the public in collaboration with Boards, national partners and stakeholders across the country
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal teams and external suppliers through highly skilled negotiation skills and outstanding communication skills
  • Coordinate specific campaign resources and assets from end-to-end within the agreed remit, timeline and budget
  • Working with the team to flex plans and strategies to meet needs in a flexible and responsive way.

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant qualification in marketing, communications or another related field, or experience to, postgraduate level.
  • Significant experience in marketing, communications or public affairs preferably within a public organisation – NHS, Third Sector or Local Government.
  • This post requires education to degree level or equivalent experience in Marketing or a field relevant to the demands of the post.
  • The ability to acquire knowledge in new and complex areas to inform working practice and contribute to overall team objectives.
  • A good understanding of the organisation and its objectives to be able to communicate effectively, the strategic aims and ambitions of AFHS.
  • Effective and confident analytical and communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal, to enable the assimilation and presentation of complex information in formats that are suitable for a range of different audiences and so that information about required deadlines and quality standards can be conveyed clearly and authoritatively.
  • A high degree of computer literacy and experience of supporting projects, including the ability to use databases, spreadsheets, and complex information systems to organise and report on complex information.
  • Experience in planning and supporting the delivery of projects.
  • Excellent personal organisational skills including effective work planning and delivery and compliance with all required organisational processes such as financial procedures.
  • Proven ability to work and contribute effectively as part of a team and to focus on the delivery of services to the team's customers, be they internal or external
