We are currently seeking a skilled and highly organised Medical Administrator to join our client's dynamic and fast-paced health care team. Our client, a reputable health care organisation based in Guide, Blackburn, is committed to providing high-quality medical care to its patients.

As a Medical Administrator, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the medical office. You will play a crucial role in coordinating administrative tasks, managing patient records, and supporting the medical staff in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Effectively manage and organise the medical office, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and prioritise tasks to facilitate the seamless flow of daily operations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and insurance information.
Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and correspondence, providing excellent customer service and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
Coordinate referrals and collaborate with other health care professionals to facilitate the continuity of patient care.
Assist with billing and coding procedures, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance providers.
Support the medical staff by preparing medical reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations and organisational policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Medical Administrator or in a similar administrative role within a health care setting.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in maintaining and updating patient records and other office documentation.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, staff members, and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in using medical software systems, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and insurance guidelines is highly desirable.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
