The Opportunity

We are a well-respected and long-established UK Cleaning / Security and soft FM business with Offices UK wide. As a result of our continued growth, we need a pricing expert to support the Commercial, Sales and Operations teams in the financial aspects of proposals, tenders and retenders. The Commercial Pricing Manager will ensure that all documentation is accurate, competitive and aligned with our business goals.

The Role of Commercial Pricing Manager

  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to gather necessary data to complete pricing documentation for new business and retenders
  • Review of client specifications to ascertain requirements
  • Use of scenario modelling and risk analysis
  • Support on data capturing development, cost reduction and improvement activities
  • Validating solutions against current delivery, business run rates and industry standards
  • Ensure cost competitiveness of each costing solution through benchmarking and analysis
  • Production of client returns as part of a tender response
  • Ensure all financial information in proposals is accurate, well-presented, and aligned with company objectives
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of completed tenders and proposals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial and pricing activities
  • Utilising data to affect change and impact our service offering
  • Utilise BICSc and Industry trends to ascertain correct productivity ratios to ensure competitiveness
  • Liaising with Subcontractors & Supply Chain
  • Assist in writing and reviewing tender documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements

The Person

Required skill set

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Understanding on how to estimate pricing from varying data
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desired skill set

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including writing in Python, java or similar script or programming languages
  • Understanding of developing cost estimates that take account of; productivities, labour resource, equipment, supply chain; overheads; profit and historical costs
  • Deep knowledge of BICSc productivities
  • Experience with tender writing
