Salary Negotiable and dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a sales management bonus scheme with annual order targets and agreed performance criteria.

As the UK Regional Sales Manager you will be accountable for the performance of the UK sales territory. A key element of the role will be proactively addressing identified accounts within both municipal and industrial end users, contractors and consultants ensuring the company has clearly identified and built effective relationships with the key decision makers.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the creation and management of an effective distribution channel that meets the company's vision, values and strategy. The promotion of co-marketing activities, product training, purchaser and end customer visits, and regular business review updates with the distribution network.
  • Ensure that support is made available to distributors and purchasers and that targets agreed are achieved in respect of product and market sales.
  • Utilise specification sales techniques and promote the company's unique sales points to maximise the leverage of the company's product quality and renowned brand reputation.
  • Ensure that correct levels of pricing and margin recovery are maintained in accordance with the company's approved business plan and product strategies.
  • The production of high quality monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and marketing activity forecasts.
  • Liaise with distributors, customers and the company's engineering & design department to ensure the correct specification is obtained that represents the customer's requirements.
  • Carry out commercial negotiations under the supervision of senior management to secure orders which are commercially, contractually and logistically acceptable to the company.
  • To support as required commercial issues post order, to ensure an effective sale and invoice process.
  • Regularly report and update sales activity in the area to the Sales Director.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and reports with an overview of the territory in terms of orders, sales, competitor activity, market trends, trade shows and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the Sales Director in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with each distributor with regular feedback on performance and development action plans to the Sales Director.
  • Lead the company's presence at regional trade exhibitions.
  • Travel as required for the delivery of the objectives of the role.

Essential Skills & Responsibilities

  • Strong Leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good administrative skills and very high attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Computer proficient skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Proven work experience gained within a technical sales manager role.
  • Experience working through a distributor sales network.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
