Purchasing and Inventory Manager

Due to the continued growth and expansion we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious Purchasing & Inventory Manager who will play a crucial role in the development, growth and progression of the business.

As Purchasing and Inventory Manager your role will include:

  • Inventory management and planning.
  • Maintain and update the ERP systems with correct and up to date information on products and services.
  • Review and improve purchase and receipt of stock policies and procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels overseeing regular stocktaking.
  • Build close working relationships with warehouse staff, manufacturers, and shipping partners.
  • Effectively coordinate all movements of imported stock liaising with suppliers (predominantly Far East) and logistics partners on a regular basis to ensure the smooth transition of stock.
  • Identify and negotiate the best possible rates with existing and new manufacturers.
  • Guard against overstocking items, to prevent possible storage issues and stock right-offs.
  • Analyse data, such as sales figures and customer demand, to forecast inventory needs.
  • Ensure all supplier agreements are valid and maintain and update factory audits.

The successful Purchasing Manager will have:

  • Experience in inventory management and logistics.
  • Experience in managing, maintaining & developing client relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively nurture and develop relationships with suppliers, couriers and in-house staff.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail to ensure efficient inventory operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to accurately forecast inventory levels.
