**Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stevenage
Pay: £45,000 - £47,500
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off - Rotating
OA Group is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our well-established manufacturing operation in Stevenage.
**About the Role:
The focus of the role is to work closely with the production team to minimize machinery downtime and ensure that all maintenance is conducted proactively to avoid production disruptions. The successful candidate will:
- Collaborate with the engineering team, supporting and identifying ways to improve plant productivity.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts, materials, and equipment.
- Investigate and determine the causes of all breakdowns and machinery speed losses, recording repairs to identify recurring faults.
**The Candidate:
To successfully carry out this role, you will need to be multi-skilled, preferably with an electrical bias. Key skills and qualifications include:
- Electrical Skills: Ability to fault-find on single and three-phase systems, servo motors and AC motors, sensors, and various control systems. An element of electrical installation may be required, typically for lighting and small power systems.
- Mechanical Skills: Proficiency with drive train systems, rollers, gearboxes, shafts, pneumatics, and some hydraulics. Ability to strip machine assemblies to component level and rebuild.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in maintenance engineering with the ability to work independently.
- Qualifications: Education to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferred, but we would consider candidates with "time served" experience.
