Management Accountant

Quinton Davies is pleased to share a great opportunity for a Management Accountant to join an established business going through massive growth.

You will responsible for preparation of monthly accounts, financial reports, cost analysis and cost control measures to optimize company profitability.

Proficiency in sage 200 and Equi2 reporting to the Head of Finance. You will also assist in annual company budgeting and profit forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, supporting schedules, and other financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the company's accounting policies. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations, including variance to budget, prior year, and trends.
  • Collaborating with Project Teams to provide guidance and insights into project performance and financial risks
  • Cost analysis and cost control measures to optimize project and company profitability.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory reporting requirements such as VAT and CIS returns, PAYE/NIC submissions etc.
  • Provide necessary information to external payroll processor to ensure staff and deductions are paid accurately and on time. Deal with any payroll queries from staff or relevant authorities. Prepare and submit P11Ds.
  • Assist the Head of Finance with the annual statutory audit.
  • Assist with pricing and costing reviews as required
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting, preferably within the commercial construction industry and within the SME sector.
  • Proficiency in Sage 200 and Equi2 software is essential
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and financial regulations.
