Birchrose Associates are recruiting for a Locum Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to assist at a reputable firm based in the Southeast for 2 months + in duration.

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a L500 firm in the Southeast, to recruit for a Locum Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to cover an increase in workload. The role can be carried out on a hybrid basis, although they will also consider candidates who can go into the office just in the first week and then they can work fully remotely.

This assignment is to start ASAP with an expected duration 4 weeks, with potential to extend beyond this point. The locum is free to work full time or part time, with a minimum of 3 days per week required.

Responsibilities

The successful Locum will manage a caseload of private client matters including:

  • Probate matters
  • Inheritance Tax
  • Estate administration

The locum will benefit from highly experienced secretarial support and support from the Head of Department and other Fee Earners in the team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience as a Private Client Solicitor Legal Executive
  • Experience handling busy caseloads of private client work including probate matters
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and hit the ground running in a locum role
