Warehouse Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the warehouse operations for an Industry Leading Client within the Holywell Area!
Starting salary of 35k per annum - this role is a permanent position!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and ensuring the smooth flow of goods.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team, managing transportation systems and implementing effective business processes.
Hours:
As the client is open 7 days a week, the best rota works out 4 days on 3 days off 8am-6pm
Duties Include:
- Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routes
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all warehouse regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and systems
- Monitor profit loss statements and implement cost-saving measures where necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed
Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Proficient in using forklifts or other warehouse equipment
- Experienced working with third-party logistics providers (3PL)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Ability to analyse data and identify areas for improvement
- Knowledge of business processes related to warehousing and distribution
