About the Role

A renowned and innovative bicycle manufacturer, is seeking a capable, well-organised, and proactive Finance Assistant to join their HQ near Hastings. In this role, you will manage the transactional areas of finance and play a key role in the month-end process, with opportunities for progression. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will interface closely with colleagues across the business.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Manage Credit Control, ensuring customers are kept well informed and followed up regularly.
  • Send weekly customer statements and remittances.
  • Ensure all customer accounts are fully reconciled.
  • Prepare month-end postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process purchase invoices for stock, freight, and duty, ensuring accuracy of landed costs.
  • Process purchase invoices for overheads and CAPEX, ensuring accuracy of dimensions.
  • Process personal expenses and corporate card spend.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations (multi-currency).
  • Ensure all supplier accounts are fully reconciled against statements.
  • Own shared inbox and respond to customer, supplier, and internal queries.
  • Assist with improvements in financial processes and controls.

  • Experience with an ERP system such as Microsoft NAV (2009) is an advantage.
