Reed are working in partnership with a Secondary school in Chester looking for a SEN TA to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives, working closely with teachers and other support staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in teaching assistant or childcare, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient and supportive approach
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, fostering their learning and development.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create individualized learning plans and implement appropriate strategies to support students' progress.
- Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the individual needs of students, promoting their engagement and achievement.
- Support students with personal care needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the school day.
- Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback and reporting observations to the teaching staff.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
