Delivery Manager - Data Insights, 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Delighted to exclusively represent my banking client who are seeking a Delivery Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of their Data Strategy. This role involves driving Data Insight and Technology change initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing both business and IT change, delivering data solutions, and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
The projects you will be involved with will be Greenfield with opportunity to make a significant positive impact on the way they use their data.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Lead change initiatives, ensuring delivery is of high quality and aligned to strategic goals.
- Own the delivery roadmap across Data Insights / Technology.
- Prioritise work for Data Insights / Technology, managing priorities and expectations across the organisation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive data engineering related changes.
- Plan sprints with development and test leads to maximize value.
- Manage high-level estimation process for predictable delivery.
- Support project reporting and governance processes.
- Deliver change in line with governance expectations, including project documentation and processes.
- Act as a bridge between the business and IT, ensuring effective communication.
- Create and maintain a culture of teamwork and collaboration towards common goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering both business and IT change, particularly data solutions.
- A pragmatic individual with a balance of delivery focus and strategic thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity in a complex environment.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and their application.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate at all levels.
- Change agent with a track record of improving ways of working.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Financial Services or a strong interest in the sector.
- Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
