Are you an Accounts Payable Assistant Manager looking for a temporary to permanent opportunity? Are you immediately available or on a short notice period?

Robertson Bell are working with a public sector organisation to recruit an Interim Accountants Payable Assistant Manager. The role is due to be for 3-6 months interim and then transition into a permanent contract. The role manages a small team of accounts payable officers and joins a busy and commercial run finance function. The main responsibilities of the Interim Accounts Payable Assistant Manager are:

  • Managing a team of accounts payable officers.
  • Ensuring that the accounts payable inbox is actioned swiftly and efficiently.
  • Acting as a point of escalation for any queries both internally and externally.
  • Managing the payment runs.

The position offers hybrid working with three days per week in the office. The organisation is commercially focussed and will best suit someone who enjoys working in a busy and fast moving environment. The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience of managing a small team of accounts payable officers.
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice period.
  • Be ideally looking for a permanent job.
  • Be comfortable with multi-tasking and used to (or happy to) work in a fast paced and large organisation.
