Job Description:
- To lead, manage and monitor the delivery of locality Children's Services, in a given geographical area, to children, young people 0-25 (depending on the service) and their families. Accountable for the direction, delivery and performance of the team (comprised of staff from a range of disciplines with the SEND service), including assessment, provision, management of risk and ensuring the delivery of the services' statutory responsibilities in compliance with, performance indicators and targets.
- Take a strategic lead role for Educational Psychology and Sensory Education Support within the Special Educational Needs and Disability Service. Overseeing and monitoring the delivery of service as a whole, responsible for the overall direction, delivery, management of risk and performance of the specific services ensuring all statutory and performance requirements are met.
- To ensure the provision of assessment, consultancy and advice services to parents/carers and staff working to enhance outcomes for children and young people birth to 25years.
- To take the strategic lead on the commissioning of relevant training and development activities for parents/carers, families, teachers and multidisciplinary partners.
- To take the strategic lead in the development and co-ordination of the emotional well being and resilience-building element of Children's Services support.
- To co-ordinate research and evaluation on behalf of Children's Services, leading to better outcomes for children and young people.
