My client is looking to recruit a Flood Risk Consultant to join their water team in London. You will join a well-established team to lead models on a range of projects locally and nationally. They work on interesting projects within residential, commercial, energy, nuclear and defence sectors.

We are looking for someone who has 3 - 6 years of experience focusing on hydrological and hydraulic modelling, using Flood Modeler Pro or TUFLOW. You must have substantial experience undertaking flood risk assessments in accordance with NPPF and/or TAN 15.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Playing an active role in design and site meetings, site inspections and progress reporting
  • Hydrological and hydraulic modelling using TUFLOW, Flood Modeler Pro and QGIS
  • Preparing flood risk assessments, bid proposals and fee proposals
  • Research and business development of potential new clients
  • Assist with work winning, budgetary control of project finances and developing the water & environmental team
  • Attend client and regulatory meetings
